The day started and ended well. The weather in the south was nice, but as I moved northeast, it got more sketchy.
I had a chance to go due-north, but thought better to ask. A guy at True Value suggested a route with better maintained roads. Ya don’t have to tell me twice.
Good thing because when I got into the higher elevation, it was obvious there had been a HUGE snow storm.
The roads were clear but there were overturned cars and trailers on the side of the road, deep into snow.
I’m so grateful I didn’t come through there during that mess.
I arrived in Englewood and spent the evening with my great friend, Liz. And Rosie and Beau.
Liz and I went for a walk and then had a massage. Wow. It was an unexpected and welcome treat.
Then a delicious meal. The absurd rules for COVID continue to provide opportunities for laughter and ridicule. There’s a concrete wall between these two stalls….
Twenty-two years ago, my friend moved to Buenos Aires with her new husband. I was living in Sacramento.
It really was a lifetime ago. We had so much fun catching up and I know that we will remain close friends now.
A MESSAGE! What a wonderful friend to arrange such an important aspect to a cross country drive! Love all the photos……..may God protect you as you continue on.
