I spent some time in Jupiter/Juno/Palm Beach area. I am so grateful to have made new friends and will return to visit them. But the area just didn’t “speak” to me. It wasn’t negative; it was a null set. Just nothing there, no word, no urge, no pull. My father was in the Melbourne Beach

Whisper Creek RV park and the town of Ave Maria
Labelle is a sweet little town. I have enjoyed my time here. When I came here from the ocean coast a month or so ago, I prayed that God would put a love in my heart for this place and He has. My dad and I have grown so close and it’s been a true
Butterflies and Saxophones in Southwest Florida
We went to a butterfly museum near Fort Myers. It was so peaceful there. The butterflies liked my brightly colored purse. The slow motion option was put to good use with this little guy. The gift shop was also an art studio. Look into the iris…there’s the upiquitous mask. Lunch at “Pinchers” on the Caloosahatchee
Hanging around the old homestead
Central Florida is beautiful, too! Abundant water and agriculture. It’s a big, huge marshland with tributaries and waterways everywhere. SO MUCH PRODUCE. I laugh when I hear people say they’re worried about getting good produce outside of California. My trailer park has a pond and in the pond is an alligator. Yup.
Finally, to meet my friends in Jupiter/Juno Beach/North Palm Beach
Drove east, back to the ocean! YAY! The drive is VERY rural and there’s one part that’s really pretty. The natural jungle thickness in Florida is amazing to me. And Pink Floyd always works for a road trip. I got to Juno Beach and checked into the hotel that my friend Candy recommended. It’s just
More Gulf Coast-Naples/Clam Pass Park
I left Fort Myers and drove down this coastal road into Naples, Florida. I looked up a couple beaches and decided on Clam Pass Park. The winding bridge travels over the marsh that’s thick with mangroves. Then it opened up to this… The sand was white and fine, the shells were plentiful. Still very calm
The Gulf Coast-Fort Myers
A journey west to the “gulf coast”…Gulf of Mexico. The beaches are WHITE SAND. But, no waves. The water laps at the shore like a big lake. This is my view lying on the beach. You can get to fluffy sand if you stay back, but closer to the water, it’s kinda like lying on
Made it to Labelle, Florida!
Got stalled in writing and sharing, but I’m back at it now. I got to Labelle and spent a few days with my Dad, catching up, taking drives and going to his favorite social spots (the Moose club, American Legion and VFW). Labelle is an interesting little place. Main industries are farming, fishing and construction.
Leaving Jekyll Island
It was hard to leave and go inland. The bonus is time with my Dad. I took a video of the place I stayed. It was a stormy day but it didn’t rain while I packed my car. Such a simple blessing. I will miss the blessings of the ocean. I can’t describe what happens
